Lewis Gibbens
NEWTON - Lewis Gibbens, 43,
died Aug. 18, 2006, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus,
Wichita.
He was born Oct. 2, 1962, in
Newton, the son of Ralph Eugene and Wilma Arlene Toms Gibbens.
He was a member of Jaycees
prison group and Prison Art and Jewelry Makers.
In June 2006, he married
Rebecca Ramirez in Newton. She survives.
Other survivors include: his
mother, Newton; children, Jessica Gibbens and Lewis Gibbens, both of Newton,
and Chelsea Bernd and Christina Bernd; a brother, Ernest Loren, Newton; a
sister, Janis Bernd, Windom; and a grandchild.
He was preceded in death by
his father; a sister, Rhonda; two infant brothers, Farley Andrew and John
Ralph.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m.
Thursday at First United Methodist Church, Newton, with the Rev. Nathan Morgan
presiding.
