Richard C. Harr
HUTCHINSON - Richard C. Harr
died Saturday (Aug. 26, 2006) at his daughter's home in Arlington. He was born
Sept. 21, 1907, to Charles H. and Eva Belle Calef Harr in Wichita. He married
Margaret L. Teter on May 5, 1931, in Newton She preceded him in death Nov. 26,
2005. He had been a Hutchinson resident since 1929. He was a retired mechanic
for International Harvester. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church.
Survivors include: sons, Charles R. Harr and wife Della Mae of Newton and John
E. Harr and wife Bobbie J. of Wichita; a daughter, Mary Belle Travis of
Arlington; a brother, Leroy Harr of Wichita; 12 grandchildren; 28
great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by:
brothers, Levi W. and Harold A.; sisters, Loneta Adams and Willanna Dodd; a
son-in-law, Paul Travis; and a great-grandson, Ryan Dean Harr.
Visitation will be from 6 to
8 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary in Hutchinson.
Funeral service will be 10
a.m. Wednesday at Westside Baptist Church with the Revs. Tim Adrian and Brian
Harr officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial
Park Cemetery.
Memorials have been
established with Odyssey Hospice of Wichita and Westside Baptist Church in care
of the funeral home.
