Milton Schmidt
GOESSEL - Milton Schmidt, 85,
farmer, died Tuesday (Sept. 19, 2006) at Newton Medical Center. He was born
April 8, 1921, to Cornelius and Katharina (Voth) Schmidt in rural Walton. He
married Selma Fast on July 22, 1969, in Goessel. She preceded him in death. He
was a member of Tabor Mennonite Church and the Mennonite Men's Choir. He was a
resident of Bethesda Home. Survivors include: daughters, Barbara Unruh of rural
Walton, Linda Graber of Newton, Patricia Snyder of Wyoming and Kathy Voth of Goessel; brothers,
Harold Schmidt of Newton and Earl Schmidt of Kingman; a sister, Edna Schrag of
Wichita; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death
by seven brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to
7 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home in Goessel.
Memorial service will be at
10:30 a.m. Friday at Tabor Mennonite Church in rural Goessel, with Pastors
Corey Miller and Karen Andres officiating.
