Enrique E. 'Hank' Sanseda
Enrique E. "Hank"
Sanseda, 64, retired railroad and AGCO worker who also worked varied part time
jobs and most recently at Wal-Mart, died Sunday (July [Oct] 15, 2006) at Newton
Medical Center. He was born July 15, 1942, to Philip and Susan (Espita) Sanseda
in Newton. The preceded him in death. He married Rita Rodriguez Sept. 26, 1964,
in Newton. She survives of the home. He was a people person and a hard worker,
an avid bowler and golfer. His nickname was "The Fly." He loved
baseball and played both fast- and slow-pitch softball. He recently was named
to the Mexican American Athletic Club of Newton Hall of Fame. He was a graduate
of Newton High School where he played baseball and went to state in wrestling.
He was a beloved grandfather.
He is also survived by two
daughters, Kathy Johns of Newton and Annette Paronto of Valley Center; a son,
Phillip Sanseda of Newton; a nephew, Tom Borrego of Wichita; and eight
grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10
a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with Father Floyd McKinney
officiating. Visitation will be until to 5 p.m. today at Petersen Funeral Home.
Rosary will be at 6 p.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
A memorial has been
established for the Mexican-American Athletic Club in care of the funeral home.
