Vera F. Schrag
MOUNDRIDGE - Vera F. Schrag,
90, Moundridge, died Tuesday (Oct. 24, 2006) at Memorial Home in Moundridge.
She was born July 29, 1916, in McPherson County to Charles D. and Susanna
(Heatwole) Yoder. She married Edwin J. Schrag May 18, 1950, in Windom. He
survives. A lifetime area resident, she graduated from Hesston Academy and
later the LaJunta School of Nursing in LaJunta, Colo. She was a registered
nurse. She was a member of Eden Mennonite Church, Moundridge.
She also is survived by a
son, Tim Schrag of Bloomington, Ill.; two daughters, Margaret Klein of Wichita
and Susan Schrag of Peck; a brother, Rollin Yoder of Lenexa; six grandchildren;
and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
four brothers, Lawrence, Tillman, Willis and Emerson Yoder; and four sisters,
Phebe Yoder, Ada Miller, Leah Loucks and Ruth Miller.
There will be a graveside
service at 10 a.m. Saturday at Eden Church Cemetery, rural Moundridge, followed
by an 11 a.m. memorial service at Eden Mennonite Church with ministers Floyd
Born and Gail Graber officiating.
Visitation will be from 2 to
8 p.m. Friday with the family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moundridge
Funeral Home.
Memorials have been
established with Mennonite Central Committee in care of the funeral home.
