WICHITA -
Marie (Dow) Strohmeyer, 86, of Wichita died Sunday (Nov. 12, 2006) in Wichita.
She was born
Aug. 14, 1920, in Viola to Edward and Ada Belle (Capps) Dow.
On Jan. 21,
1946, she married Richard "Dick" Strohmeyer in Kansas City. He
preceded her in death.
She attended
Whitewater High School. She was a retired elementary school teacher.
She is
survived by grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins.
Visitation
will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Lamb Funeral Home in Whitewater.
A graveside
service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Whitewater Cemetery, with Pastor
Chuck Wilson officiating.
In lieu of
flowers, memorials have been established with the American Cancer Society, Cal
Farley Boys Ranch and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
