Naomi Fent
Naomi Fent,
89, died Monday (Nov. 13, 2006) at Asbury Park Healthcare in Newton.
She was born
March 2, 1917, in Newton to Oscar S. Fent and Maud Shriver Fent.
In 1939, she
received her bachelor's degree in home economics from Kansas State University.
Fent showed
great kindness and generosity to everyone. She loved gardening and was a great
cook. She was involved in the Sunflower Club and Themian Club.
She is
survived by her sister, M. Doris Fent, and many nieces and nephews.
She was
preceded in death by her parents.
Service will
be 10 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation
will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel. Family will be
present at the funeral home for visitation from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Memorials
may be made to Caring Hands Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
