Anna Lee Stephenson Mick
Anna Lee Stephenson Mick, 71,
of Newton died Monday (Dec. 11, 2006) at Newton Presbyterian Manor. She was
born March 11, 1935, in Blackwell, Okla., to Ben and Jane (Eatmon) Andrews. On
Oct. 1, 1955, she married Robert Stephenson in Hutchinson. He preceded her in
death Aug. 20, 1999. She then married Leland Mick Feb. 15, 2003, in Newton. He
survives of Newton Presbyterian Manor. Anna Lee was a member of St. Mary's
Catholic Church and the Red Hat Ladies Society, both of Newton. She was a graduate and lifetime supporter of
Hoisington High School. She also was a former member of the Hutchinson Chamber
of Commerce and a former board secretary for the Hutchinson school district.
Anna Lee served as a Harvey County clerk.
She enjoyed entertaining her
family and friends with her piano playing. One of her greatest joys was her
grandchildren. She enjoyed following them in their sports and performing arts
events.
Survivors include second
husband Leland Mick of Newton; sons, Tim Stephenson, Robert Stephenson and Mark
Stephenson, all of Newton; sister LaVeda Capps of Oklahoma City; three
grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and her large extended family, the
Micks.
She was preceded in death by
her parents and first husband, Robert Stephenson.
Visitation will be from 1 to
9 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary
will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home. The family will receive
friends following the Rosary at 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 10
a.m. Friday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel in Newton with the Rev. Jim Mainzer
of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park
Cemetery in Hutchinson.
Memorial contributions may be
made to Hospice Care of Kansas in care of the funeral home.
