Vicki Mosqueda
Vicki Mosqueda, 56, died
Friday (Dec. 15, 2006) at Via Christi-St. Francis campus in Wichita. She was
born July 12, 1950, to Orlo and Marjie (Piper) Bowen in Kansas City, Mo. She
married Julio James Mosqueda Jr. Sept. 14, 1974, in Newton. He died April 6,
1998. Vicki loved children and made them feel special, especially her
grandchildren. Her hobbies included sewing and cross-stitching. All loving acts
of kindness, food and gifts will be received at 521 Sunnyside Court in Newton.
Survivors include sons, Shawn
Bowen of San Antonio, Texas, Julio J. Mosqueda of Hillsboro, James P. Mosqueda
of Newton and Jason P. Mosqueda of Newton; daughter, Maria A. Boneski of Rayne,
La.; brothers, Leon and Tommy Bowen of Wichita; sisters, Mary Haidar, Charlene
Radich, Kathy Millershaski and Donna E. Sweeney, all of Wichita, and Patsy
McCarthy of Rayne, La.; mother, Marjie Bowen of Wichita; and seven
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
husband, Julio James Mosqueda Jr.; father, Orlo Bowen; and sister, Marchita
Cummings.
Visitation will be from 9
a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Broadway Colonial
Funeral Home with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m today.
Recitation of the Rosary will
be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton
with Father Floyd McKinney officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to Vicki L. Mosqueda Fund in care of the funeral home.
