Donald L. Dunn
HESSTON - Donald L. Dunn, 67,
died Monday (Dec. 18, 2006) at his Hesston residence after a courageous battle
with cancer. He was born Feb. 12, 1939, in Protem, Mo., to Joseph Harrison and
Ada (Braden) Dunn. He was a retired banker and a member of First Baptist Church
in Siloam Springs, Ark. He was a 40-year member of Kiwanis International Club,
being recently honored with the George E. Hixson Fellowship Award. He was an
avid supported of Razorback sports all of his life, along with St. Louis
Cardinals baseball. He graduated from Fayetteville High School in Fayetteville,
Ark., and he attended the University of Arkansas.
He married his high school
sweetheart, Juanitya Fitzgerald, Aug. 2, 1959. She survives of Hesston.
Don was an eternal optimist
and held to his beliefs to the end. He was a wonderful example to his family,
who loved him dearly.
Other survivors include son,
Robin and Suzan Dunn of Tulsa, Okla.; daughter, Kelli and Randy Bruce of
Newton; brothers, Lester Dunn of Fayetteville, Homer Dunn of Stilwell, Okla.,
Leonard Dunn of West Fork, Ark, and Basil Dunn of Fayetteville; sisters, Alene
McLaughlin of Springdale, Ark.; grandson, Parker Dunn of Tulsa; and
granddaughter Emily Dunn of Tulsa.
He was preceded in death by
his parents and a sister, Irene Palmer.
There will be a private
family service. No visitation is scheduled.
