Earl Howerton Jr.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Earl Howerton Jr., 91, died Wednesday (Dec. 20, 2006) in Albuquerque, N.M. He was born Jan 19, 1915, in Newton to Lura and Earl Howerton. He attended Newton High School, graduating in 1933. He was a civil engineer for Santa Fe. Howerton is survived by two daughters, Nancy Sowers of Albuquerque and Patricia Youngblood of Greer, S.C.; sister, Betty Kliewer of Newton; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Albuquerque.
