Lois M. (Bachman) Davis

Lois M. (Bachman) Davis, 71, of Newton, homemaker and secretary, died Wednesday (July 5, 2000) at Newton Medical Center. She was born Sept. 28, 1928, in rural Moundridge to Gerhard and Ella B. (Ewy) Bachman. She married Donald R. Wiebe. She later married Gerald W. Davis. He preceded her in death in 1975. She attended Moundridge High School. She graduated from Hesston Academy in 1946. She was formerly employed at American Coach, International Harvester, Excel and Schowalter Villa from 1982 to 1990. She attended Highland Trinity United Church of Christ in rural Newton.

Survivors include: one son, Ron Wiebe of Hesston; one brother, Weldon (Bud) Bachman of Hesston; and two grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be 9 a. m. Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton. Memorial services will be 10 a. m. Saturday at Trinity United Church of Christ with the Rev. Lyle Albright officiating.

Friends may call until 4 p. m. today at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p. m. today at Highland Trinity United Church of Christ.

Memorials have been established with Highland Trinity United Church of Christ in care of the funeral home.
