Lita McNeill
Lita McNeill, 49, of Newton
died Thursday (Dec. 1, 2005) at her residence. She was born July 2, 1956, in
Wichita to Glenn E. and Vivian M. (Whittle) McNeill. She attended Cooper Grade
School in Newton and later attended Hesston High School, graduating in 1975.
During her lifetime, she worked at the Newton Public Library and also worked in
the dietary service department of Presbyterian Manor for 21 years. She was a
very social individual. She attended many community events and never knew a
stranger. Her favorite pastimes were reading mystery novels, genealogy,
photography and watching the Boston Celtics. She loved her family and animals
of all kinds.
Survivors include sisters
Glenna McNeill and Annette McNeill, both of Newton, and Amy McNeill-Moser of
Windsor, Mo.; nephews, Derek Duncan of Newton, and Andrew Moser and Benjamin
Moser, both of Windsor, Mo.; nieces, Amy Moser and Grace Moser, both of Windsor,
Mo.; and cat and beloved friend Feisty.
She was preceded in death by
her parents.
Visitation will be from noon
to 9 p.m. today at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 120 E. Broadway in
Newton.
Services are at 2 p.m.
Tuesday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home with Chaplain Denny Bell officiating.
Burial will be in Greenlawn [Greenwood] Cemetery in Newton.
