Yvonne Ruth Bartley
Yvonne Ruth Bartley, 69, died
Saturday (Dec. 17, 2005) at Wesley Medical Center. She was born May 3, 1936, to
Cole E. and Laura Jane (Pippin) White in Alden. They preceded her in death. She
married Delbert H. Bartley Oct. 2, 1954, in Sedan. He survives of the home.
Yvonne attended Columbus Avenue Church of Christ in Newton. She retired from
the customer service department at the former Hesston Corp. She enjoyed
spending time with her husband and family fishing and camping. She
especially enjoyed her
winters in south Texas reconnecting with old friends. Yvonne relaxed by
enjoying time with her grandchildren, attending their ball games and working
with ceramics.
Other survivors include:
daughters, Debbie Pendry of Newton and Denise Schmidt of North Newton;
brothers, Pete White of Niotaze and Paul White of Joplin, Mo.; sisters, Betty
Wilson of South Coffeyville, Okla., and Pauline Bartley of Joplin; and seven
grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9
a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at
Petersen Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 10
a.m. Wednesday at Columbus Avenue Church of God in Christ with Pastor Bill Fair
officiating.
Burial will be in Restlawn
Gardens of Memory in Newton.
Memorials have been
established with Columbus Avenue Church of God in Christ and the Food Pantry,
both in care of the funeral home.
