Esther Mary Tranby
Esther Mary Tranby, 93, died
Tuesday (Dec. 20, 2005) at Presbyterian Manor in Newton. She was born Aug. 2,
1912, to Charles Marion and Mary (Robideaux) Dickson in Rooks County. They
preceded her in death. She served as the former executive secretary to the
president of Rival Manufacturing in Kansas City. She enjoyed traveling, having
spent time in Europe, and also was a seamstress. Survivors include: many nieces
and nephews including Jaclyn K. Dickson and Judy Krell, both of Newton; and a
brother, Clarence E. Dickson and wife Ethmer of Newton.
She also was preceded in
death by: brothers, William Curtis and George Marion Dickson; and sisters,
Vinny Vanderlip and Susie Musgrove.
Memorials have been
established with Hospice Care of Kansas in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral
Home.
