Reuben P. Mosiman

Reuben P. Mosiman, 90, died Wednesday (Dec. 21, 2005) at Via Christi - St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. He was born May 7, 1915, to Fred and Mary (Ingold) Mosiman in Newton. They preceded him in death. He married Luella Reid on June 24, 1945, in Elbing. She survives of Newton. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Newton. Reuben was a retired farmer, raising wheat, milo and cattle. He and his wife were well known for their fresh egg delivery business business in the Wichita area for 25 years. Reuben retired from farming in the early 1980s and moved into town in 1991. He enjoyed going to his coffee groups at McDonald's and the Walton Whistle Stop Cafe. Reuben also enjoyed caring for and working in his yard.

Other survivors include: daughters, Sherry and Kevin O'Brien of Goddard and Mary Ann and Steve Kyle of Oklahoma City; brothers, Wilbur Mosiman and Freddie Mosiman, both of Newton; sisters, Ruth Balzer and Wilma Jean Motter of Newton; and granddaughters, Dawn (O'Brien) Hungate of Kechi, Denise (O'Brien) Easton of Omaha, Neb., and Keri (Kyle) Rice of Oklahoma, City.

He also was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Mosiman.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Ron Thornton officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials have been established with First Church of the Nazarene and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, both in care of the funeral home.
