Richard E. Sowers, March 28, age 51 years, late of Flossmoor, formerly of Country Club Hills, beloved husband of Sally, nee St. John; dear father of Terrie (John) Wolfe of Burlington, IA and Sharon (Jeff) Rea of Yorktown, IN; fond grandfather of Landon, Kyla and Clinton Wolfe, Jesse and Aimee Rea; loving son of Elma (Dwight) Morton of Newton, KS and E.C. (Flossie) Sowers of Oklahoma City, OK. 1952 Alumnus of Newton, Kansas High School, member of Newton Lodge No. 142 A.F. & A.M. Mr. Sowers was employed by the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad for 32 years. Resting at the Tows Funeral Home, 18230 S. Dixie Hwy., Homewood, from 7 to 9 p. m. Saturday. Resting at the Petersen Funeral Home Newton, KS. from 6 to 9 p. m. Monday. Services 11 a. m. Tuesday. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, KS. SY8-5300.
