Obituary

The funeral of Chas. H. Yeomans who died at Axtell hospital in Newton, Wednesday, evening, August 25, was held at Halstead Sunday afternoon, in charge of Jordan Kilpatrick Post of Newton of which deceased was the youngest member. The services were attended by a large number of people; many from Newton attending, as Mr. Yeomans was one of the best known and oldest settlers of Harvey County, having settled here in 1871. He leaves to mourn, a wife and five children -- Mrs. C. H. McBurney of Newton, C. A. Yeomans of Minneapolis; Mes. Lambert Edison [Eidson] of Holland; Michigan, Edward Yeomans of Missoula, Mont., and Miss Grace Yeomans of Halstead.
