Arthur L. Yakel

Arthur L. Yakel, 75, passed away Thursday (April 23, 2009).

He was born in Florence to Henry and Lena (Remple) Yakel. He worked on pipelines and was a U.S. Army and Korean War veteran. He is survived by his brothers, Luther Yakel of Wichita, Herbert Yakel of Springfield, Ohio; sister Viola Wiebe of Canon City, Co.; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ruth Yakel, Joyce Yakel, Mary Catherine Armstrong, Bernice Oswalk, and Dorothy Marasco. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
