HESSTON -- H. Victor Klassen, 85, died
Sunday (Sept. 8, 2002) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. Funeral
service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home
with the Rev. Rich Duerksen officiating. Additional arrangements are
pending and will be announced by Broadway Colonial Funeral

H. Victor Klassen
HESSTON -- H. Victor Klassen, 85, died
Sunday (Sept. 8, 2002) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. He was born
July 26, 1917, to Henry and Sarah (Funk) Klassen in Herbert,
Saskatchewan, Canada. They preceded him in death. He married Geneva
Nightingale May 7, 1988, in Fayetteville, Ark. She survives of
Hesston. He was a teacher of music and history in western Kansas,
Berean Academy in Elbing and also privately in his home. He later
worked in the mobile home industry at Guerdon Industries, Inc. and at
American Coach Co. He also gave concerts in area nursing homes and
churches. He was a member of Grace Bible Church in McPherson.
Other survivors include: five
daughters, Barbara Jean Oliver of Olympia, Wash., Janet Louise Barnes
of Warrensburg, Mo., and Georgia Ann Klassen, Vivian Hultgren and
Vicki Lehrman, all of Wichita; a half brother; six grandchildren; and
five great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by a
brother and a sister.
Visitation will be until 5 p. m. Today
at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Family will greet friends from
7:30 to 9 p. m. Today at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be 10 a. m.
Thursday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home with the Rev. Rich
Duerksen of Grace Bible Church in McPherson officiating.
There will be a private burial service.
Memorials have been established with
Grace Bible Church in care of the funeral home.
