Mary McNeill

WHITEWATER-- Mary McNeill, 86, of rural Whitewater, died Sunday (Feb. 7, 1993) at her home. She was a homemaker.

She was born Nov. 8, 1906, in rural Whitewater to Frank J. and Rosa Adler Gronau.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Altar Society, and past president of the St. Isadora Circle at the church, all of Newton; and Whitewater Senior Center's Kid's Club.

Survivors include two sons, Robert of rural Newton, and Patrick of Overland Park; two brothers, William Gronau and Martin Gronau, both of rural Newton; two sisters, Katherine Overwaul of Wichita, and Anna Endres of rural Newton; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, William, in 1937.

Rosary will be at 7 p. m. Tuesday in Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10 a. m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Eugene Grabner officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. Tuesday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.

Memorials may be sent to the church in care of the funeral home.
