Helen R. Eck
HESSTON -- Helen R. Eck, 87, retired homemaker, died Sunday (Oct. 19, 1997) at Newton Medical Center.
She was born July 2, 1910, in Marion County to Peter H. and Helena Schmidt Rempel.
She married Albert Eck July 18, 1937, in Inola, Okla. He died Feb. 6, 1993.
She was a member of the Walton Mennonite Church. She was a resident of Peabody from 1971 to 1978 and has been a resident of Hesston since 1978.
Survivors include: two daughters, Carol Eck of Osage City and Mary Eck of Hesston; one brother, John Rempel of Hillsboro; and four sisters, Mary Funk of Hillsboro, Frieda Enns of Goessel, and Ella Voth and Elizabeth Kroeker, both of Chouteau, Okla.
Funeral service will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Miller Funeral Home in Hesston. Burial will be in the Walton Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p. m. Tuesday at the Miller Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with the General Conference Mennonite Church, in care of the funeral home.
