Cleve Miller was born in Greenwood county, Kansas, November 16, 1884, and was killed in a street car collision in Kansas City, where he was motorman, on the evening of May 25, 1913. This was his last trip on that line, the next day he was to be transferred to the Interurban from Kansas City to St. Joseph, Mo.
Cleve spent his boyhood days in and around the vicinity of Star.
On April 20, 1908, he was married to Marie Rogers in Wichita, at which place he was motorman for three years, from there they went to Los Angeles, Cal., for one year, then to Kansas City, at which place he met with the sad accident that caused his death.
Cleve was a devoted husband and kind and loving father. The writer was acquainted with him from childhood and never knew him to do anything but what was honest and upright in all his dealings.
He was 28 years, 6 months, 9 days old at the time of his death. He leaves a widow and two small children, besides a father, mother, three brothers and three sisters to mourn his loss, who have the sympathy of the entire neighborhood in this their hour of sorrow.
