Marcus L Unruh
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p. m. in the Chapel of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary for Marcus (Mark) L. Unruh, 62, a resident of Santa Maria who died Saturday in a local hospital.
Burial will be Friday at Fairlawn Cemetery in Hutchinson, Kan., at 2 :30 p. m.
Mr. Unruh was born Sept. 13, 1917 in Halstead, Kan., and had been a resident of Santa Maria for the past 20 years. He was a member and past commander of the American Legion, Post 56; a member of the Forth and Eight; a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, McGinley Brothers Post; a past chairman of the Elders of the First Christian Church, and an Elder Emeritus; a member of the Chancel Choir of the First Christian Church; and an employee of the Boyd Association in Santa Maria.
Mr. Unruh is survived by his widow, Eva Unruh of Santa Maria; daughters Fairy Levingston of Santa Maria and Gay DeMarco of St. Cloud, Minn.; five brothers; nine sisters; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary on Tuesday from 2 until service time.
Friends may make memorial contributions to the Heart Fund, or the Disabled American Veterans Administration Hospital at 1611 Plummer Ave. in Supulveda.
