Obituary

Obituary--Peter Reffner was born in Blair Co., Penn., Oct 1, 1832. Was married Feb. 15, 1867 to Marry Ann Tattum. To this union were born seven children, James and Charles, farmers of this community, Allen of Oklahoma, and John, Bessie and Rose who live at home. A daughter, Lilly, died at age of 12 years. His wife preceded him in death, Aug. 9, 1906. He came to Kansas in 1881 and soon after united with the Methodist church at Annelly and remained a member there until that denomination was disbanded. Later the Presbyterian church was organized at the same place and he transferred his membership there, and lived a conscientious Christian until his death, which occurred April 14. He had been in poor health for a year, and the last illness was of two weeks duration and death came to him peacefully.
