Alma L. Life
Alma L. Life, 100, died
Sunday (Feb. 11, 2007) at Asbury Park in Newton.
She was born May 23, 1906, in
Mathiston, Miss., to the Rev. P.E. and Roxie Ann (Ray) Vaughan. On Dec. 18,
1927, she married Lawrence Life in Iola. He preceded her in death in 1998.
She moved to Newton with her
husband nearly 34 years ago. Alma was a loving preacher's wife who enjoyed
spending time with loving family and many friends she made through the years.
Survivors include a son Duane
Life of Newton, two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in
death by her parents and a sister, Christine Shiblom.
Services will be at 2 p.m.
Friday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Brad Smisor of Valley Center
officiating. There will be a private family burial in Wichita.
Memorial contributions may be
made in lieu of flowers to Asbury Park in care of the funeral home.
