Virginia M. Williams
Virginia M. Williams, 93,
died on Wednesday (Feb. 21, 2007) at Presbyterian Manor.
She was born on March 18,
1913, to Opal (Fry) and Harry McDonough in Sedgwick. On Oct. 5, 1937, she
married Lester A. Williams in Sedgwick. She was employed as a secretary for 17
years for the United Way of Harvey County before she retired in 1974. She was
an active member of the Business and Professional Women's Organization and a
member of the Chamber of Commerce, all in Newton. Virginia also was a member of
the First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed quilting, knitting and her ceramics.
She is survived by a brother,
Garth McDonough of Leguna Woods, Calif.; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; her husband; her sons, Jon Douglas and Richard Brent Williams; and
two brothers, Harry McDonough and Clair McDonough.
Visitation will be 1 to 9
p.m. Sunday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. with family present at 1 p.m.
Service will be at 10 a.m. on
Monday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. James Anderson
officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
