Obituary

Doris Marie (Wiebe) Dunlavy, 75, passed away in Frederick, Colorado after a short illness. She was born at Bethel Deaconess Hospital in Newton, KS on January 13, 1935, to John P. and Otillie Marie (Becker) Wiebe. She grew up in Newton and graduated from Newton High School in 1952.

Doris worked for 25 years at IBM where she retired. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family, canning food from her garden and quilting. Doris had a very strong faith and belonged to the Restoration Messianic Fellowship in Boulder, Colorado.

She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, twin sister, many church members, family and friends.

She married Paul Dicks Dunlavy 13 Oct 1953 in Newton at the First Mennonite Church Chapel. They were married 36 years. He preceeded her in death on December 8, 1989. Preceeding her in death were her parents and 2 baby daughters, Cary Cay and Paula Marie. Also preceeding her in death were a brother Dr. Dallas E.Wiebe, a baby brother Ronald E. Wiebe, sisters Ericka J. Stucky and Elsie L. Allison. Surviving are daughter Claire M. Balsley and Brad of Lafayette, Colorado, son, Drew P. Dunlavy and Jane of Broomfield, Colorado and son Donn P. Dunlavy of Frederick, Colorado. Grandchildren, Rebecca and Jenna Balsley, Amanda and Lyndsey Dunlavy and Victoria, Alexandria and Nathaniel Dunlavy and great grandaughter Reaghan Dunlavy. Also surviving are brother John E. Wiebe and Janett of Newton, Kansas, Esther V. Norton of McKinney, Texas and twin sister Delores Mae Thomas of Newton, Kansas. Two neices and 12 nephews.

Funeral arrangements are, Wednesday, April 14th, at 11:00 am at the Restoration Messianic Fellowship 7493 Old Mill Trail, Boulder, CO 80301.Burial will be next to her late husband at the Louisville Cemetery, 2015 Empire Road, Louisville, CO 80026 Memorial Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Doris Dunlavy memorial fund in C/O Donn Dunlavy 5381
