Stroud, Lois D

Lois D. Stroud

She was born on June, 11, 1917, in Enid, Okla., to Bernard A. and Lena (Ratzlaff) Becker.

She married Earl R. Stroud in August 1935.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son, David E. Stroud; six sisters; and one brother.

Lois is survived by one sister, Dorothy Casebeer of McPherson; two daughters; Judith Eighmey of LeCompton, and Rebecca Smith of Lawrence; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Lois was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church in Newton. She was a caring homemaker, wife and mother. She looked forward to spending time with her loving family and friends.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James W. Anderson presiding.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service Monday at The Breadbasket restaurant next door to Petersen Funeral Home.

Memorials may be left with First Presbyterian Church Newton or a hospice organization of the donor's choice in care of Petersen Funeral Home in Newton.
