Mary Schneider(nee Jantz) was born near Moundridge, Kansas, August 15,1880 and passed away at her home 7 miles east of Moundridge August 15, 1940 at the age of 60 years. She grew to womanhodd 8 miles east of Moundridge living with her parents and widowed mother. On December 31, 1900 she was united in marriage to William Schneider making their present home their home. To this union 4 sons and 2 daughters were born: Daniel, Albert, Clarence, Clara and Minnie all of near Moundridge. In the year 1924 she was converted giving her heart and service to the Lord joining the Church of God Mennonite remainig a member until her death. Before her end she again did what she could in her weakness to set her house in order, and we can believe her work was done. Finally she resigned herself to her Master' will and quietly fell asleep in Jesus on her 60th birthday, with a hope of everlasting life. She leaves her deeply bereaved husband, William Schneider, 4 sons and 2 daughters, 10 grandchildren, 6 brothers and 2 sisters, besides many relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 at the Meridian church. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.
