Mrs. Lucas Rites Pending
Services for Mrs. Bessie Lucas, 91, of 2817 Amy Lane, Tyler, are pending with Draper-Cannon Funeral Home in Newton, Kan., with local arrangements under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler.
Burial will be in Newton, Kan.
Mrs. Lucas died Monday after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 9, 1888, in Sylvia, N. C. lived in Tyler 23 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Newton, Kan.
Survivors include one son, Keith G. Lucas of Lawrence, Kan.; three daughters, Mrs. Opal Berry of Baytown, Mrs. Maye G. Suttle of Tyler and Mrs. Lavonne M. Calloway of Newton, Kan.; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
