Betty L. Fischer

WICHITA - Betty L. Fischer died Wednesday (Feb. 1, 2006) at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. She was born Nov. 11, 1922, to Albert and Gladys Heath in Greenwood County. She married Curtis Fischer Jan. 22, 1944, and they moved to Newton in 1949 and became life-long residents. She graduated from Emporia State Teachers College with a degree in music. Betty was a full-time homemaker and taught private piano lessons until 1989. Survivors include: children, Dr. Larry Fischer and wife Glenda of Topeka, Ron Fischer of Wichita and Linda Loraine and husband Del Paulson of Beulah, Colo.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Downing & Lahey West Chapel.
