Clara Kauffman
HESSTON - Clara Kauffman, 97,
homemaker, died Wednesday (Feb. 8, 2006) at Newton Medical Center. She was born
Jan. 28, 1909, to Charles and Anna (Dietrich) Fricke in Chicago. She married
Milo Kauffman Oct. 3, 1931, in Chicago. He preceded her in death in 1988. She
was a member of Hesston Mennonite Church. Survivors include: a son, Milo F.
Kauffman Jr. and wife Carolyn of Newton; daughters, Marilyn and Maurice Miller
of Boulder, Colo., Joy and Merle Sears of Tiskilwa, Ill., Evelyn and Wally Shellenberger of Paoli,
Ind., Gloria and Levi Yoder of Lovington, Ill., Bonnie and Floyd Sowers of
Hesston, Phyllis and John Hysong of Phoenix and Betty Kauffman Schmidt and
husband Clinton of Littleton, Colo.; a brother, Elmer and Myrtle Fricke of
McMinnville, Ore.; a sister, Evelyn and Charles Millbern of Springfield, Mo.;
28 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to
8 p.m. Friday with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Miller Funeral
Home in Hesston.
Funeral service will be 10
a.m. Saturday at Hesston Mennonite Church with Pastors John Murray and Cheryl
Hershberger officiating.
Burial will be in Eastlawn
Cemetery.

established with the Milo and Clara Kauffman Scholarship Fund at Hesston
College in care of the funeral home, 107 S. Lancaster Ave., Hesston, KS 67062.
