Marsha Rae Welty
Marsha Rae Welty, 57, died
Tuesday (Feb. 21, 2006) at Fort Scott Manor in Fort Scott.
She was born Aug. 18, 1948,
to Harry and Leota (Lyon) Welty in Newton, Kan. They preceded her in death.
Marsha was affiliated with
the Methodist faith. She loved attending school and working in the workshops at
the special schools located in Newton, El Dorado, Pittsburg and Ft. Scott. She
always enjoyed family gatherings and never forgot who anyone was. She loved
books and usually carried a very heavy load with her wherever she went.
Survivors include: aunts,
Leonette Hoffman of Wichita, Wileta Hawkins of Pierre, SD; amd many
cousins.
She also was preceded in
death by: a brother, Curtis Welty; a sister-in-law, Margaret Welty; a niece,
Robin Welty; and a nephew, Bradley Welty.
Visitation will be from 9 a.
m. to noon Thursday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be 2
p. m. Thursday at Hesston City Cemetery.
Memorials have been
established with Tri-Valley Development School in care of the funeral home.
