Bonnie P. Montgomery
Bonnie P. Montgomery, born in
Newton, passed into her forever home on Wednesday (June 13, 2007).
Bonnie married James Ellery
Montgomery on Aug. 30, 1941, there are three daughters surviving. Carolyn Sue
Saucier of Saucier, Miss., Marilyn Jo Spangenberg of McPherson, and Sandra Lynn
Mendenhall of Arvada, Colo. Bonnie is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22
great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren as well as a wonderful
family of nieces, nephews, and great's and too many life-friends to account
for.
Coming from a rather large
family, Bonnie was sad to lose her grandson, A.J. Fletcher and her brothers and
sisters, Pearl Usher, Vi Hood, Georgia Blair, Joseph Warhurst (infant),
Elizabeth Atkins, Rose Moss, Velma Walker, George Thomas Warhurst Jr. and Betty
Wilson, her twin. Surviving in the family are Joan Anderson of Cocoa, Fla.; and
L.E. (Jack) Warhurst of Chanute.
Bonnie was known as hard
worker in whatever endeavor she entered. She was an auxiliary member of the
DAVA , VFW, American Legion, Eastern Star, and the Colorado Nursing
Association.
Graveside service will be at
2 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
