Adolph Del Castillo
SEDGWICK - Adolph Del
Castillo, 80, died Monday (June 18, 2007) at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, St.
Francis in Wichita.
He was born on March 11,
1927, in Newton to Rosallo and Marie (Lopez) Del Castillo. They preceded him in
death. He graduated from Newton High School. He married Elena Macias, she
preceded him in death in 1976. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1952 to
1954, being honorably discharged. He was a skilled machinist for various
aircraft companies in Wichita.
Survivors include sons, Dr.
Ramon Del Castillo of Denver, Javier Del Castillo, L.C.S.W., M.S.W. of Denver,
Dr. Steve Del Castillo of Littleton, Colo.; and Christopher Del Castillo, M.A.,
of Lakewood, Colo.; a brother, Raoul Del Castillo of Wichita; a sister, Elvira
Mendoza of Baltimore, Md.; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by
sisters, Emily Moreno, Celia Caravello and Luze Clark.
Visitation will be from 9
a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton. Rosary will
be at 7 p.m. today at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Service will be at 10 a.m.
Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton with Father Floyd
McKinney officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Newton.
