Caroline J. Schmidt
Caroline J. Schmidt, 68, died
Monday (June 18, 2007) at Via Christi Regional Medical Center St. Francis in
Wichita. She was born on Aug. 6, 1938, in Newton to Herbert and Edna Schmidt.
She grew up and enjoyed the farm and her dogs. She was one of the early
participants of Northview Opportunity Center. She was a member of Grace Hill
Mennonite Church and attended the Can Do Handicapped Sunday school class of
Central Community Church. She lived at RESCARE in Wichita and had helped with
Meals on Wheels. She way loved be her family and friends.
Survivors include sisters,
Pauline Schmidt of Wichita and Bertina and Albert Ensz of Hesston.
She was preceded in death by
her parents.
Visitation will be from 1 to
9 p.m. Wednesday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton with family present from 5
to 8 p.m.
Graveside service will be at
11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Hill Mennonite Church in rural Newton with Pastor
James Voth officiating. Burial will be at Grace Hill Cemetery in rural Newton.

Camp Mennonscah, Western District Mennonite Church of Murdock in care of the
funeral home.
