Edwin P. Becker
MOUNDRIDGE - Edwin P. Becker,
85, died Tuesday (June 19, 2007) at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge. He was born
on Sept. 26, 1921, in McPherson County to Peter J. and Katie (Koehn) Becker. He
was a plumber and factory worker at American Coach in Newton. On May 6, 1942,
he married Vernie Unruh in McPherson. She survives at home. Survivors include a
son, Kevin Becker of Barnett, Mo.; a daughter, Carolee Koehn of Tonasket,
Wash.; a sister, Myrtle Unruh of Moundridge; eight grandchildren; and 13
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by
his parents; a daughter, Jane Evon Johnson; brothers, Eben, Frank, Reuben,
Kermit, Urfa and Jake; and sisters, Lena Koehn and Elizabeth Unruh.
Visitation will be from 4 to
8 p.m. Thursday at Moundridge Funeral Home in Moundridge with family present
from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Service will be at 10 a.m.
Friday at Gospel Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in Moundridge with
Ministers Dale Koehn, Dale Becker and Maurice Wedel officiating. Burial will be
at Lone Tree Church Cemetery in rural Galva.

Mercy Hospital in care of the funeral home.
