Norma Ruth (Radenberg)
Stucky, 92, of Newton died Thursday (June 28, 2007) at Newton Medical Center.
She was born on Aug. 3, 1914, in Claflin to Carl E. and Lula A. (Grossardt)
Radenberg. She had been a Newton Presbyterian Manor resident since 1998. She and
Art lived on the Stucky Farm southwest of Moundridge. She graduated from State
Center School in 1927. She also attended the Salt City Business College in
Hutchinson in 1948. She worked at Peter Rabbit Motor Freight. She also
worked at Holt Plumbing as a
secretary and in the accounting department.
She was a member of
Moundridge United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday School for many years and
was interested in the accomplishments of all those children.
Many young fellows helped
with the farm work through the years. She enjoyed cooking and baking for them
while they lived on the farm.
She loved her nieces and
nephews and their families. She loved music, fancy work and the beauties of
nature. Her preferences were for gardening and embroidery work. Flowers, pets
and especially butterflies could be seen in her work.
On Nov. 10, 1957, she married
Arthur A. Stucky at Claflin Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on Nov.
25, 1998.
Survivors include a brother,
Glenn C. and Marvella Radenberg of Claflin; two nieces; and six nephews.
She also was preceded in
death by her parents, brothers, Harry and Edwin Lee Radenberg; and two sisters,
Helen Foster and Dorothy E. Tritsch.
Visitation will be from 6 to
8 p.m. today at United Methodist Church in Moundridge.
Service will be at 3 p.m.
Saturday at United Methodist Church in Moundridge with Pastor Jeanine Rishel
officiating. Burial will be at Hesston City Cemetery in Hesston.
