Obituary

BURRTON - Charles A. Newberry, 82, died Monday at the Halstead Hospital.
Born May 18, 1893, at Hallowell, he married Dollie Mae Cook, June 21, 1919, in Joplin, Mo. Following her death he married Althea M. Baughman, Sept. 12, 1965, at Haven. He was a retired pumper for the Shell Oil Co. and lived here since 1965.
He was a member of the Latter Day Saints Church, Masonic Lodge, and the World War One Barracks.
Survivors are the widow; daughter: Mrs. Leland A. Cotter, Phoenix, Ariz.; stepson: Wayne Baughman, El Dorado; step-daughter: Mrs. Eileen Hoover, Yokosuka, Japan; sisters: Mrs. Flossie Darby, Pittsburg; Mrs. Maude Dulleck, Stockton, Calif.; Mrs. Lois Koening, Paramount, Calif.; Mrs. Attie Rosseau, Sheldon, Mo.; six grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Lyons. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
