Obituary

Dorothy M. Anderson, 83, daughter of Frank and Gertrude Brandewiede, was born Nov. 20, 1922, at Newton, Kan. She died Oct. 3, 2006, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center at Rolla after a brief illness.
She married Ray "Andy" Anderson Sept. 3, 1949, in Kansas City, Kan. They lived in Kansas City, Mo. While living there, she was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church and St. Anne's Circle.
Mrs. Anderson moved to Houston in 1998. She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, was active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Texas County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Houston chapter of the Red Hat Society - the Red Hot Mammas. She enjoyed senior league bowling and dinners with the OWLS Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991
Surviving are three daughters, Joan Nimtz of Wathena, Kan., Barbara Mainer of Raymondville and Mary Skaggs of Keller, Texas; one brother, Robert Brandewiede of Newton, Kan.; three sisters, Lousie Newmaster of Ottumwa, Iowa, Burnette Norman of Derby, Kan., and Barbara Yager of Bushnell, Fla.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial graveside services are 11 o'clock Saturday at the Resurrection Cemetery, 5001 NE Cookingham Dr., Kansas City, Mo. Local arrangements were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
