Maria M. Chaple, 81, died Monday (March 12, 2007) in Rose Hill.
She was born
on March 9, 1926, to Mario and Mercedes Ayala in Havanah, Cuba. She married
Alberto Chaple on Aug. 12, 1944, in Havanah, Cuba. They immigrated from Cuba in
1962 and settled in Hesston in 1963. She was a retired high school Spanish
teacher in Newton.
Survivors
included a daughter-in-law, Jeanne Chaple of Wichita; a brother Mario Ayala of
Margarita, Calif.; a brother-in-law, William Chaple of Park City; and a
granddaughter, Michelle Chaple of Wichita.
She was
preceded on death by her husband, Albert Chaple, and two sons, John and Rene.
Visitation
will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in Hesston.
Service will
be at 10 a.m. on Friday at Miller Funeral Home in Hesston with Pastor Mark
Miller officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Memorials
may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of the funeral home.
