Rosella Pearl ""Rosie""
Voth, 97, of Hesston, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021
peacefully at home to join our Dad, who passed in 2007 after 64 years
of marriage. She was born September 20, 1923 in Hillsboro, the
daughter of Solomon R. and Esther Marie (Janzen) Funk.
She was a member of Tabor Mennonite
Church in Newton.
Rosie was united in marriage to Alfred
H. Voth on April 2, 1943 at Hillsboro. He preceded her in death on
July 26, 2007.
She co-owned and operated the Hesston
Standard Service Station with her husband.
Mom had a sweet, gentle, selfless
nature. She had endless generosity and a wonderful sense of humor.
She never forgot a birthday or anniversary. She had a deep love of
God.
Mom loved to embroider and quilt and
made a special quilt for each of her grandchildren, great
grandchildren and even had one left for her great, great
granddaughter who is named after her. Mom was so excited and happy to
be able to hold Rosie at Christmas time.
We know Mom's smile will always live in
the hearts of those who knew her. We wish our time with her would
have lasted forever and in our hearts it will. We will miss her more
than words can say.
She was survived by her sons, Richard
Allen (Sue) Voth of Claremore, Oklahoma, Kenneth Lee (Ann) Voth of
South Bend, Indiana, Dennis Dale (Joy) Voth of Hesston, and Gerald
Lynn (Michelle) Voth of Walton; daughter, Diana Mae Voth (C. Clint)
Hull of Goodyear, Arizona; nine grandchildren; thirteen
great-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Elsie Phillips
of Hillsboro; and sister-in-law, Margaret Funk of Hillsboro.
Rosie was preceded in death by her
parents; husband; and five brothers, Allen, Erwin, LaVerne, Ralph and
Wayne Funk.
Cremation is planned with memorial
services to be announced and held at a later date. Private inurnment
will be held at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Hillsboro, Kansas. Memorial
