Keith A. Powers
1970 - 2021
Keith A. Powers, 50, entered the gates
of heaven on January 11, 2021 after an unexpected death with heart
disease even after a successful heart surgery June of 2020.
He was born March 2, 1970 in Newton to
Lyle A. Powers Jr. and Carolyn Powers.
He was preceded in death by his father,
Lyle A. Powers Jr. and nephew Kyle Powers.
He is survived by his mother, Carolyn
Powers of Newton: 2 sons, Deyreck Dean of Rockwall, Texas and DJ of
Wichita: sisters, Vandi Barnhart (Greg) of Denton, Texas, Shannon
Gonzales (Zac) of Wichita; and brothers, Lyle III (Tammie), Matt,
Shane (Michelle) and Sean (Mindy) all of Wichita. He has 8 nieces and
6 nephews. His close friends Val and Allie.
He was so proud of his sons and all of
his nieces and nephews.
Keith loved fishing or anything
outdoors like playing with his sons, nieces and nephews. He was very
good with his hands and could fix anything. He spent most of his life
working on hydraulics. He was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan. His
faith in God and his family was very important to him.
Even at the end when he was struggling
with his health he always had a smile, a joke and was helping others.
He knew no strangers, a friend to everyone he met.
