Marie Grochowsky Cox

Carolyn Marie Grochowsky Cox, died Sunday (March 11, 2007) in Colo.
She was born
on Jan. 17, 1941, to Vincent J. and Julia Buckman Grochowshy in Newton. She was
a member of the Newton High School class of 1958. In 1959, she moved to Denver,
Colo. She was employed at Bowman Biscuit company. In 1963, she married Danny
Leland Baise. Although they later divorced, they remained friends until her
death. In her career, she was employed as a bond trader at George K. Baum &
Company. She also worked for R & L Liquor Distributors. For the last
fifteen years she was active in selling real estate. At the time she was taken
ill in late Oct. 2006, she was working for Edelweiss Realty in Lakewood, Colo.
A memorial service was held at Drinkwine Mortuary in Littleton, Colo. on March
15, 2007.
Survivors
include brothers, Michael Grochowshy of Overland Park; Patrick Grochowshy and
companion Trish Burrell of Independence, Mo.; Thomas and Kay Grochowshy of
Newton; nieces, Jodi and Robert Thompson of Spring Hill; Leann McNolty of
Newton; nephews, Jeff Grochowshy of Hesston; Keith and Laura Grochowshy of
Overland Park; three great-nephews and four great nieces.
A memorial
mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Burial was at St.
Mary's Cemetery.

be made to Brain Injury Association of Colo. in care of Petersen Funeral Home
in Newton.
