Gilbert L. Reber, 83, retired farmer, of 313 Alice Avenue in Newton, died Sunday (April 8, 1984) at Halstead Hospital.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Petersen's Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. William Landis officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
He was born July 19, 1899, in Sedgwick County. On Feb. 16, 1927, he married Lola Shomber, who survives of the home. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include one son, Robert Reber of Newton; two daughters, Wanda Neufeld of Inman and Catherine E. Molzen of Belvue; one sister, Olive Rose, of Newton; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call this evening and Tuesday until service time at Petersen's Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Harvey County Heart Fund and may be left at Petersen's.
