Elsie V. Johnson

Elsie V. Johnson was born in Newton,
Kansas, to John L. Dudte and Anna M. Dudte, of rural Newton. She
married Lee A. Johnson, October 13, 1944. Their children are Carol
Johnson Baumgartner, Fountain Hills, AZ, Jerry L. Johnson and wife
Karen, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Scotty R. Johnson and wife Teresa,
Kent, WA.
Lee and Elsie lived in Kansas, Arizona,
and Washington State, where they worked and had many good friends and
family. She was a skilled bookkeeper for many years, working at
Boeing Everett until retirement. In retirement, Elsie worked at
community dinners, fundraisers, attended church, and enjoyed family
time. Her littlest great-granddaughter called her "Chocolate
Grandma" because she always had little treats for her
grandchildren. She enjoyed making beautiful quilts, crocheting and
knitting gifts for her friends and family.
Elsie's family included grandchildren
and great-grandchildren Christine and Ward Kaatz, Fountain Hills, AZ,
and son Nicholas Kaatz, Ellensburg, WA. Jill and Jeremy Keefe,
Fountain Hills, AZ, and daughters Megan Hart, Fountain Hills, AZ, and
Miranda Hart, Fountain Hills, AZ. Jennifer Johnson and Bairam
Jacobsohn, Mumbai, India. Scott and Teresa Johnson, Kent, WA, and
daughter, Gabrielle Johnson, D. waiting to welcome her grandma to
Heaven. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Unruh, Newton, KS, and
many nieces and nephews.
Elsie will be interred together with
Lee, her husband of 67 years, at Tahoma National Cemetery, Maple
Valley, Washington.
