Angeline Smith

On January 30, 2021 Angeline "Angie"
(Chomo) Smith, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed
away peacefully surrounded by her family at St Francis Hospital in
Wichita, KS. After a 2 years and 9 months battle with cancer.
Angie was born September 12, 1956 in
Salem, New Jersey to Patricia (Chomo) Chester and Thomas Owen Dunn
Jr.
Angie was the oldest of 2 children.
Angie worked at Caring Hands Human
Society and also as a caregiver for many of years. Angie had a love
for all animals. For eight years she and her friend Don Gibbens set
up a train display at the Chisholm trail festival,
in Newton, KS. She enjoyed her
vegetable and flower gardens, going to the State Fair every year,
decorating for Halloween and Christmas. Angie loved taking trips with
her family to explore nature and the beauty of the outdoors while
listening to rock and roll.
Preceded in death by her mother
Patricia, father Thomas, grandmother Angeline, grandfather Steve,
and son Andrew Smith. Angie is survived by Brother Charles "PJ"
Chomo, her Children: son Joseph G Smith (LaTresa Means),
Daughters Patricia C. Smith, and
Crystal S. Gibbens (Scot Gibbens), grandchildern Megan Jackson, Amber
Shinn, Meredith Smith, Arianna Smith, Madalyn Winter and several of
nieces and a nephew.
Special Thanks to the staff at Central
Care Cancer Center for the years of care for our mother. We will
always be thankful for the extra time we were given.
Anyone who wishes to attend is welcome,
please dress causal. She will to be laid to rest in jeans and a
t-shirt per her request. Angie would like everyone to celebrate her
life and share the wonderful memories that were made.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m.,
Friday February 5, 2021 at Baker Funeral Home, 6100 E Central Ave
Suite 203 Wichita, KS 67208.
Graveside services will be held 2:00
p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery outside
of Bentley, KS.
