Earl D.
Koehn died Sunday (March 25, 2007) at Kidron Bethel Health Care in North
Newton. He was born to Lawrence and Martha (Schultz) Koehn of Pawnee Rock.
After attending high school in Pawnee Rock, he continued his education at
Bethel College where he graduated in 1948. He continued working at Bethel as
manager of the physical plant and purchasing agent for 38 years.
While at
Bethel College, he met Louise Duerksen. They married Oct. 14, 1950. They have
three sons and three grandchildren. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary
on Oct. 14, 2000.
Among those
with fond memories include wife Luise of North Newton; sons, Dennis of Goshen,
Ind.; Brent of South Bend, Ind.; David and wife Terri of Novato, Calif.;
grandchildren, Rosabeth, Emily and Timothy; brother, Galen Koehn of North
Newton; sister, Leona Clithero of Newton.
Visitation
hours with the family are 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in Menno Hall at Kidron
Village. The memorial service is at 10:30 Friday at Bethel College Mennonite
Church in North Newton.
