Lillian M. Molzen
HESSTON - Lillian M. Molzen,
102, died Sunday (Jan. 8, 2006) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. She was born Nov.
4, 1903, to Albert and Anna (King) Steiner in rural Newton. They preceded her
in death. She married Lawrence Molzen Nov. 11, 1922, at Highland Church in
rural Harvey County. He preceded her in death Dec. 28, 1977. She was a member
of Highland Trinity United Church of Christ. Lillian was a lifetime resident of
Harvey County. She lived at 2115 N. Main from 1950 to 1979, moving into
Schowalter Villa in 1979 until the time of her death. She enjoyed gardening,
flowers and crocheting.
Survivors include: a son,
Alvin Molzen and wife Sheryl of Newton; sisters, Helen Cook of The Dalles,
Ore., and Dorothy Dreier of Hesston; four grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in
death by: daughters, Genevie Dalke and Patricia Corrado; an infant son, James
Ervin Molzen; brothers, Paul Steiner, Raymond Steiner and Ervin Steiner; and a
sister, Florence Fowler.
There will be a private
family graveside service 1 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Cemetery in Newton with
Pastor Gaylon Dreier officiating.
Memorials have been
established with the Highland Cemetery Fund and the Schowalter Villa Fund, both
in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
